How do I download Movie Maker 2.1?

The instructions say:

Download Instructions
Movie Maker 2.1 is available for download with Windows XP Service Pack 2
(SP2). You can download SP2, Movie Maker 2.1, and all future critical updates
automatically by turning on the Automatic Updates feature in Windows XP.

You can also download SP2 and Movie Maker 2.1 from Microsoft Update.

Micorsoft Update retured a list of updates to download but Movie Maker 2.1
is not one of the updates available. I'm running XP SP2.

I got the same kind of run around.

probably the article you are talking about.

Have you seen this.

I can only say its in SP3 as version 2.1. I always thought I had 2.0
and was also frustrated in obtaining version 2.1.

However I found Magix Movie Maker a pretty good program and bought it
once it went on sale.
And ConvertXtoDVD is a pretty good program. Not free. But it takes
MPG, AVI, etc and make both a simple menu and convert the files to a DVD
for you.
