A while back in some online publication I read where an Administrator said
that every morning he ran a network scan that inventoried all workstations
hardware and software, and that it would flag any workstation that had a
change in either the hardware or software. This, he said, is how he
discovered some malware that was installed on 30 machines overnight.
I just installed Softinventive's Total Network Inventory and am still
learning it, when I have the time. But, does anyone know of any network
scan software that will flag any changes in workstations (both hardware and
software).
Thanks,
Sam
