Hi,
I am working to get a new print server built. I know the recommendation is
to put the spooler directory on another partition, how much memory do you
need for a high volume - critical print server?
are there any other big recommendations for print servers?

We services hundreds of thousands of jobs on a slightly old dual-Xeon
PowerEdge 1750 with 4GB RAM that also runs SQL Server 2000 SP4 and it
hardly breaks a sweat. I do recommend being on Server 2003 SP2 and
having all the post SP2 printer-related updates installed and only
using Winprint as the print processor.

If any benefit were to be gained from this, I would think it would require a
separate physical drive, not just another partition on the same drive.
