Another way to enable Print icon in My Pictures for Windows 2000

I have a Windows 2000 installation that has no Microsoft Office in it so
what I have is a basic installation of Windows 2000. I wanted to show an
improved way of enabling the printer icon in the My Pictures folder of
Windows 2000. The trouble is that there is no setting for print in the file
types of jpg. So what we will do is put one in. I am sure whatever can
print a html page can also print a jpg well because html pages on the Net
can print pictures just fine usually...

Anyway let's give it a shot. We actually have two choices here maybe more
if you have installed Microsoft Office. Let's go with Windows Explorer.
Start | Run | explorer | OK. Then Tools | Folder Options... | File Types.

Now we will scroll down to files of type html and click Advanced. Look for
the extension HTML. After we select Advanced we will select print and then
Edit... Select all of what is in the box Application used to perform
action: and right-click choose copy. Close this out hitting Cancel and then
Cancel again. Now go to files of type JPEG Image and select the extension
JPG. Now click Advanced. Click New... and for the Action: put in Print.
Now for the Application used to perform action: put the cursor in the box
right-click choose paste. Then OK | OK | OK. Now open a new Explorer
window and go to My Pictures under My Documents select a jpg file and you
should see the Printer Icon enabled and when you click it your jpg should
print.

Finally there is another choice for the Application used to perform: action
using what the default is for printing tif files. Use the method as above
that we used for html files and againt the printer icon should enable in My
Pictures and clicking it should print the image.

Hope this way is a litte better than my last post on this issue.
