I had this problem way back in Windows NT and I wanted to see if this would
be an issue today.
Back then we had 2 locations across the US. The networks were connected
using a dedicated VPN between the 2 locations. The problem we had was when
we built a server at the remote location, we could not add it to the domain.
We had to ship the computer back to the main office just to add it to the
domain. Once it was added, it was shipped back and we had no problems with
users at the remote location logging in.
My question is, with active directory, can we build a server at the remote
location and attach it to the domain when the locations are separated
through a VPN?
Thanks,
Jasper
