Just want to thank Gary, Pa Bear, Glee, and all the other folks that have
contributed here.
After b11_ left to the xp general group, its been pretty quiet. Not
complaining mind you. Last long thread I saw was about XP SP3, not 98/98SE.
Candidly, I seldom use 98SE, except to use DI2002 to copy the hidden ME
partition, and use NERO 5.5. Wandered off to XP as ZA no longer supports
98SE. Then, had many problems with ZA, so I now use the xp firewall
instead. Similar with NAV (I know, I know). NAV stopped supporting
98/98SE. The newer NAV versions are so abrasive to PC usage, I had to
switch to Trend Micro in XP.
Learned alot in Win 95 original, to 95B and 95C. Thanks Uncle Gus. 98 was
a short interim for me. I went to 98SE, downloaded and saved all the
updates both for system and hardware related to PCs I normally use. Never
looked back. On one PC I built for my daughter years ago, I patched the
Millenium boot screen to the 98SE bootup. She was so thrilled she had ME at
the time... I couldn't bear to tell her the truth.
