I have a 2003 Server Std R2 SP2. I installed terminal server and terminal
server licensing server. I activated the terminal server licensing server and
add 5 TS Per User CALs. My users have not reported any issues and all appears
to be well. Except when I open the Terminal Server Licensing console and look
at my server none of the Per User CALs are "Issued"; even though I have 3
users terminaled into the system. The TS Licensing console still shows 5
total and 5 available CALs. I looked around on the internet and found
information that said this was a known issue. That per user cal is new to
2003 server and in a rush release 2003 MS was aware of this issue and
released it anyway. Is this true? In my TS Licensing console for this server
I also see "Existing Windows 200 Server - Terminal Services CAL Token(Per
device)" With a type : Built-in, Total: Unlimited, Available: Unlimited, &
Issued: 0. Is this behavior of not showing any user CALs issued expected? How
can I tell if I am still riding my trial period for TS Server?
Thanks in advance!
