Good Day,

We've recently implemented office 2007 on our terminal server ( windows 2003
enterprise ). Users use outlook and connect to their email server using mapi.
All of our users complain that outlook is extremly slow. All other apps are
just fine. Users also get error out of memory or system resources and outlook
hangs and crashes. We have 8GB of RAM, dual Xeon Processors, everything else
in terminal is very fast.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Outlook 2007 and terminal server

Can you try to use RPC over HTTPS?
This is replacemnt since regular RPC/MAPI was sometimes very slow or just
timed out on WAN connections.

I am using RPC over HTTPS on one terminal server but since I cannot use
outlook cached mode, outlook is very slow if terminal server is not in same
datacenter where is exchange server (this is first place because of network
bandwidth).

Try using OWA also instead.

Re: Outlook 2007 and terminal server

We don't use Exchange as the email server. We use a hosted email system and
we connect to that server using Mapi. RPC over https will not work. Any other
suggestions ? Thanks.
