Sound and video are limited in Hyper-V. Hardware is simulated and not the
real underlined hardware itself. For real good performance you have to choose
real hardware, not Virtual environments.
From another posting from John Paul Cook (MVP Virtual machines):
You cannot take advantage of specific sound card or video card capabilities
using Hyper-V. Graphics capabilities in Hyper-V are limited to a Vista user
experience rating of 1.0. That's all you are going to get. You aren't using
the capabilites of the physical hardware, you are using the capabilities
of either the emulated or synthetic devices.
