Hi!
I've noticed that in the company where I've recently started to work in
servers hard drives where never defragmented. Servers (windows 2003) are
mounted on Vmware ESX Servers. I've tried to defragment hard drives using
the windows defragmenter, but on some server, especially with huge files
(over 100 Gb database files on partitions with about 200 Gb) some files
where not defragmented.
So, I'm now considering purchasing a third-party defragmenting utility for
doing this. Does it worth investment or most would use the standard
defragmenter?
I like Diskeeper, besides, native windows defragmenter is a reduced part of
Diskeeper. Does it worth investment though? Please, advise, what methods do
you employ for this task? What software is betetr for server machi9nes in
terms of disk defragmentation and does it worth such investment or no?
Your advices are greately appreciated!
Thank you very much!
