Hi there
Have deployed Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services on a test server, wanted
to look at TS RemoteApps and TS Web Access.
Installed these server roles, and also TS Gateway, and what fantastic
products they are.
However, cannot get TS Gateway to accept a SSL certificate, even a
self-signed one created from within the TS Gateway management console itself.
What happens then is from an external location with no connection at all to
the internal LAN, I can enter https://TSapps.domain.com/ts into IE (XP SP3),
I am then prompted to enter my domain credentials, then I am granted access
to the TS Web Access page, where I have published various basic MS apps i.e.
Word, Excel.
However, when I try to load one of the apps, I get the error message saying
that it was not possible because the TS Gateway server is not configured with
a SSL certificate.
Fair enough - however no matter what I have tried the TS Gateway server role
simply will not accept a certificate. I created a self-signed cert via the TS
Gateway management console, it appears to accept it (the warning that there
is not certificate goes away) but when I refresh the page the warning simply
comes back.
I have went through the requirements of the SSL certificate for TS Gateway,
and can't for the life me figure out why it won't accept a self-signed
certificate from itself.
Internally, it all works perfectly (we have a public SSL certificate for
IIS) but obviously TS Gateway won't be used internally.
Has anyone came across this?
Would love to hear from you if you have experienced this issue, and have
resolved it.
Cheers
