Hi! This is a new twist on an old problem - there are related posts from 2004
& 2005 but having tried all the suggestions with no luck, I am posting this.
I have WinXP Pro SP3 installed, with an admin user (C) and a limited user
(M) in addition to the usual Administrator account.
C can see all the other users' documents under the heading: "Files Stored on
this Computer". M can only see "Shared Documents". M's side bar shows "My
Documents" and links correctly to the desired target folder.
For M, using RegEdit to look at the registry:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DocFolderPaths has
the correct entry. Also:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\DelegateFolders
has the correct key {59031a47-...} to show "Files Stored on This Computer".
I have tried re-directing M's "My Documents" to a new target to no avail.
I also created a new limited user: P, for which the problem is also present.
Does anyone know of a fix? Or does XP SP3 deliberately do this for limited
users?
Many thanks in advance for any help.
