Using the Clipboard with RDP sessions

We connect to a Windows 2003 Terminal Server with XP Pro clients using
Remote Desktop 6.0. We would like to capture a screen on the client
when it is in a session and either save it as a .bmp file or paste it
into a Word document.

So, when we hit "Print Screen" whil in a session, where does that
information go? We thought it went to the clipboard on the TS, but if
it is supposed to, how do we Paste it from the clipboard?

Note that our TS users have been restricted to not using any standard
Windows programs on the TS, so we cannot open PAINT or WORDPAD on the
TS from a client session.

Thanks!

We just found out the the Clipbook Service is disabled on the Terminal
Server, and we get error message when we try to start it: "Error 1068
Clipbook service failed to start. Dependency service failed to start."
THe dependency is the Network DDE service which is also disabled. Can
we safely start these services that the Clipbook service depends on?

Re: Using the Clipboard with RDP sessions

PrintScreen goes to the local client.
Ctrl-Alt-Plus (or -Minus) goes to the TS, as documented here:

186624 - Terminal Server Client Shortcut Key Combinations
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=186624

Have you enabled clipboard redirection? If you configure the rdp
client to forward Alt-* keystrokes to the remote server, you can
capture windows in the TS session with Alt-PrtScr and paste them
into Wordpad on the client.

Thanks for the information. Do the services mentioned have to be
running on the client, TS, or both? WE have not checked the client
yet but they are disabled on the TS and the CTRL+ALT+PLUS did not
work.
