Hi,

I'm having difficulty with an HP Laserjet 2300 that is set up on a remote
network. I've got the rdp client to redirect printer output to their local
printer.

I've also created the printer locally on the terminal server (and used
lpt1).
(Can't print to it like this).

My understanding was that the local default printer would show up and
automatically be created for the terminal server session.

I've got it working for other HP printers on our sub-networks, but can't
figure out what i'm doing wrong now.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
JG

Make sure you have the latest RDP client installed in clients pc. If
memory serves me right, you need to do a registry hack to get USB
printers carry over a rdp connection. ( I am assuing the laserjet is a
USB based printer ) Otherwise, it should carry over no problem. Also,
make sure the local RDP clients have a check mark on the printer as a
device to be carry over the connection.
