I removed AVG and went with Avast antivirus and it is working well. The last
I heard that AVG 7.5 will be ending in a few days and version 8 is not
compatible with Windows 98 Second Edition. I tried version 8 on my computer
on the Windows XP Pro. side of my multi-boot computer and it was terrible
because it flagged things that were not a problem and just related to
SpywareBlaster which had protected against the baddies and AVG 8 removed the
protection for 197 items. My dad tried it on his computer and it flagged a
legitimate file as a trojan. He is also now using Avast.
I am also giving Ubantu Linux a try on my computer a try within the XP Pro.
side of the Windows environment and so I now have a tri-boot computer.
