Re: Utility To See Deleted Folders
There are a large number of undelete tools - use Google to
search for them. Before you make the effort, keep in mind
these points:
- Deleting the System32 folder is quite difficult since many
of its files are locked while Windows is up and running.
If this was my machine then my first step would be to
determine exactly how this feat was achieved.
- Most if not all undelete tools work under Windows. You
would need to connect the problem disk as a slave disk
to some other machine before using such a tool.
- My own System32 folder contains 4500 files. I think your
chances of recovering each and every one of them are close
to zero. I also think that it would take much less time to rebuild
the system than to invest (waste?) time on an undelete effort.
