Windows TS2008 - Cannot add statements to USRLOGON.CMD

I am preparing to upgrade a terminal server to Windows 2008, and am in the
process of rebuilding the functions that our terminal services users
currently access.

One necessary configuration is drive mapping at login. I used to add these
statements in USRLOGON.CMD in TS2003.

This doesn't appear to be possible in TS2008, since the administrator cannot
edit this file. Only a TrustedInstaller can...and I can't find where to
become a TrustedInstaller (the role doesn't show up in LOCAL USERS AND
GROUPS).

Any way that I can modify the USRLOGON.CMD to automatically map an R: and a
Z: drive for a new terminal services user, when they log onto the server? Or
is there another preferred method that I need to use?

I have not looked closely at it yet, but I believe there is a statement in
the userlogon.cmd that looks for and calls a usrlogon1.cmd. I've always
setup my "custom stuff" in the usrlogon1.cmd file so the standard one
applies and calls my custom one.

Re: Windows TS2008 - Cannot add statements to USRLOGON.CMD

I do not see a usrlogn1.cmd or usrlogn2.cmd file in windows\system32, only
usrlogon.cmd

I tried scanning the web for these .cmd files, and it shows that others use
them, but does provide any details on how you use them (i.e., do you create
these from scratch? is usrlogn1.cmd used for some things, and usrlogn2.cmd
used for other things?

Are there any online references that address this further?
