Pick any printer with Windows 2003 in the Product category and you will
be fine.

Re: Printing - Supported Devices

That list seems to be for label printers. I'm looking for a list of
printers that is compatable with Windows Terminal Server 2003.

Ok, and I get a list of thousands of printers and now where does it say
anything about compatibility with Terminal Server. Did you even read my
original post?

Yes, Did you even read my original answer?

It stands to reason, any printer driver supplied by MS
will be compatible with TS.

Re: Printing - Supported Devices

TS is implied in this list, John, since Citrix runs on top of TS.

Citrix runs on top of TS? I'm not sure I understand. If TS is on a Windows
2003 server, how is Citrix involved?

Citrix is an application server software. It must run on a server. That
server must be running (if it's a Windows server) Terminal Services.

I can assure you, if it is compatible with Citrix, it's compatible for a
plain old TS server.....

Re: Printing - Supported Devices

Ok, well, that helps. Thank you.

Do you know if there is something comparable, that lists printers that are
TS compatible, for manufacturers other than HP?
Somone here had given a link to the "Microsoft Update Catalog", but that
isn't of any use for this issue. It lists printers, but it doesn't tell if
they're TS compatible or not. For example, the HP docs states that a
Laserjet 1018 is not compatible, but the update catalog does not give any
such information.

TIA

Re: Printing - Supported Devices

No, unfortunately, HP is the only printer manufacturer which
publishes such a list.
Stefa Vermeulen from http://www.printingsupport.com/ used to have a
lisy with compatible and substitute drivers for other
manufacturers, but his website is currently under reconstruction.
The only thing that you can do is ask the vendor, and if you don't
get a positive statement that the printer is TS compatible, you can
try to map it to a native driver (one that came with the original
Windows install CD), using the info here:

239088 - Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services
server logs events 1111, 1105, and 1106
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=239088

Or you can use the fallback driver in Windows 2003.
