I have to add some Macs to my 2003 domain. Where's a good starting point
please. A good website please.
Thanks

Re: Macs

You can add them to the network because the network is a physical thing.
You cannot add them to a Windows AD Domain.

Re: Macs

OK, so like Win 9x, they can't be members of a domain. But can I enforce my
Mac users to have to logon the Macs using their regular Windows
authentication?

No. Win9x could not join a domain but it was domain "aware" and could
interact with the domain and gain domain functionality in a way that made it
"almost" a domain member. Macs cannot even do that much.

The Macs would be more like Linux or some other flavor of Unix where there
just is no centralized login natively. With Linux there were things like
PAM and other attempts to provide better interactivity, but I never saw it
ever really work right and it still required a matching Local user account
in any case.

Yep, exactly :-)
But even before they changed the OS architecture it was still a "similar"
situation with OS9 and earlier.
