Re: The Color 'Red' is missing

FIPO:

The missing color red was not the cause of my failing monitor, but the
setting 'without restart after a color change', which can affect certain
programs, in this case the display itself, triggered the discrepancy.
Choosing to restart after a color change instead, eliminated my problem
entirely on the spot.
Quite a learning experience, when considering it worked for so long.
Thanks for all positive contributions.

Harry.

But Harry, that was one of the very reasons why I asked you to clarify your
actions in my reply to your original post. And your reply was :-

machinery'.

Err... Except the colour depth settings - it seems!

Didn't you notice any changes at the time - and their correction next time
you booted?

Anyway, not only am I pleased that you've resolved the issue - but
hopefully, you've learned from the experience.

Good luck

Mart
