Bug in file sharing transfer speed

When I transfer a big file (40GB) via a shared folder, then the speed infact
(size/time) is only 100Mbit/s, while with other applications I can transfer
files at 800Mbit/s.

I have checked a lot of parameters at perfmon, and found that at the
receiving end, the speed of disk writes is limited (only in MS file sharing)
to only 12,000,000.

If someone knows a solution to this please let me know.

If someone can repeat my experiment - You would need disks that are capable
of at least 30MByte/s, and a gigabit network. Send a file that is large
enough so that the transfer will take enough time to check stuff at perfmon.
Send it via a shared folder, and watch in perfmon the receiving disk write
speed Bytes/sec. If the speed gets over 12,000,000 then maybe it is only me.
The max speed I saw was 16,000,000, but usually it was 12,000,000. Please
report relevant hardwares types, and OS. My two OSes are both w2k3 standard
32bit.

Regards.

SMB, CIFS problem.
