Hi,
Whenever I use Windows XP SP2 with the VPN provider Relakks
(https://www.relakks.com/), one instance of svchost.exe crashes (1) after a
few minutes. The VPN connection was created using the Windows New Connection
Wizard. I didn't install any VPN programs.
If I double click on the VPN connection icon in the system tray after
svchost.exe has crashed, the status window pops up then immediately
disappears.
Even if I restart the services manually (except for "Windows
Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)"--I get an "access denied" error
message when I try to restart it), I have only a very limited access to the
Internet (web downloads started before the crash continue, but I can't
browse the web, I'm offline according to OE, etc.) until the computer is
rebooted.
I used SecureIX for months and never had this problem. I tried with an old
Ghost backup of the Windows partition but the problem remains.
Does anyone know if there is a fix or a good program I could use instead of
the Windows VPN client?
