I am almost maxed on the number of scheduled tasks that I can create. I heard
of a registry edit that over comes this limition when using a user account to
run the task. does anyone know how to resolve this? I read the kb article
about stopping and starting the task service to be able to add another task
but that is not a real solution for us.

RE: Windows Scheduled Task maxed out

One additional note. I do not have duplicate scheduled tasks. I work for a
large bank that uses scheduled tasks for our ATM processing

Have you considered using the "run every xx minutes" feature of the
Task Scheduler, instead of creating a new task each time?
