From time to time, that is not all that often, the Windows Explorer will
"not responding" and then reset itself. This knocks off some of the running
programs in the system tray. If I look at the Close Program Manager
[ctrl+alt+del] these knockouts are usually still running. I know that I can
reboot the machine to correct this problem however, is there a way to bring
all this back up without rebooting?
What is the cause...probably poorly writ third party software running in
the background.
