Hello Everyone

I don't have alot of experience with terminal services, hope some of you may
be able to help.
we have 10 terminal server running on 2003, each terninal server hosting
different apps.

Printer drivers are installed on each local terminal server. this is an
administration nightmare, i am just thinking , is it possible to setup a
centralise printer server and tell all terminal server to use the centralise
server for printing.
so when users connect to the terminal session, they will get the driver from
the centralise printer server. not the local drivers from the terminal
server.

Any sugeestion will be really appreciate it

yes but you still need driver mappings for each user. So you can do this
pretty easily through vbscript logins scripts or any other scripting
language really. Windows priting though dictates that a driver is always on
the server/workstation. that a user is printing from.

Hello Jeff

Thank you for your response. correct me if I am wrong. All I have to do is
setup a new member server, migrate all printer drivers, port from terminal
server to the new dedicate member print server . Share all the printers.

Setup an OU may be call in terminal users. add the terminal users to the
terminal user OU, in the GPO add a login script to map all printers for the
terminal users OU ?

This may work ?

Thank you

Re: Possible to setup a centralise Printer server for terminal ser

That sounds right. Keep in mind that the print drivers will still be on the
terminal server. They will be automatically downlaoded and installed when
the printer is mapped. What you are getting though is that each user will
only see the printers they have mapped.
