Hello,

I am assuming that this is a focus problem, maybe not.

The last few days I've noticed that I have to click on buttons several times
with the mouse before there is a response. I click and nothing happens, then
a few more clicks and maybe the program finally responds. This is not related
to an individual window or program, it seems to be Windows-wide. I changed
the "focus" setting in the Tweak UI part of PowerToys; that seems to help for
an hour or a few minutes and then the mouse is back to its sluggish ways.

Thanks in advance for any insight into this problem

Hi Michael,

I would first swap out the mouse to be sure nothing is wrong with the
current mouse. If the same thing happens with a good replacement, I
would check Task Manager under the Performance tab and see what the CPU
usage is during your mouse clicks to see if something else is possibly
taking all the CPU cycles.

Report back,
