I would like to recover some file space. Is it ok to move or delete AMD64
files?

Hello Abislair,

First i would run diskcleanup, then you can also move the pagefile to another
physical disk. Additional you can delete all KBxxxxxx update folders. Do
NOT delete $hfmig$ folder. When deleting the uninstall folders you are NOT
longer aible delete any installed updates/patches. Additional you can check
the size of the windows\softwaredistribution folder. The content is only
needed duriong patch installation, so stop the automatic update service and
delete the content, it will be rebuilded when you start the service again.

I've done that stuff. I want to know if it's ok to delete Windows\AMD64.
Thanks.

It depends... do you prefer your windows server installation to work or to
be utterly broken and require a lot of repair work. If you want the system
to keep working then leave the AMD64 stuff alone, if you're worried that you
need to practice your disaster recovery skills then by all means go for it.
Double-check your backups first though.

In _general_ terms, I'll say that deleting parts of your operating system
due to disk-space issues is never a winning strategy.

Thanks for your snarky answer!!! I'll be sure not to delete anything
Dell/Microsoft wants to put on my computer because we all know everyone needs
all of it. If not for you wisdom I'd probably delete the Windows folder.
You rock!
