Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Serices 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB936181)
is being offered repeatedly by Windows Automatic Updates, even after it
claims a successful install. It is not showing up in Add/Remove Programs in
the control panel, but the update history on the Windows Update site shows
five successive installs from "Automatic Updates", and one from "Microsoft
Update".

Windows MCE 2005 with SP3.

Re: KB936181 is repeatedly offered.

I have Windows Vista w SP1 (32 bit). I'm having a similar problem. Windows
Update continues to offer Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Serices 4.0
Service Pack 2 (KB936181). It shows "Succesful in Update History. I tried
both links that you offered. When I tried the first one, I received an error
that said the file was not found or not writable. Do I need to run this
update with Vista?
Thanks!

Re: KB936181 is repeatedly offered.

Hi, today I've tried all the 5 steps, and the problem remains...
I also tried to uninstall and use the Windows Update... use the package
downloaded... (english and italian as well) downloaded Package + Windows
Update and still nothing!
I check if there is an .OLD inside the path \windows\system32 and wasn't
there?!
I'm still proving other ways, if you know something more to help I will
appreciate!

PS: Vista X64

Thanks in advance!
