I /had to/ download install microsoft "jamondo.exe" keyboard
language enhancer to view a particular webpage. Now, each
time Seamonkey browser is started, the keyboard "EN" icon
appears in the system tray. What command/plug-in starts this
function and how do I stop seamonkey from doing this? I have
removed/uninstalled the Japanese Language component, and
renamed internat.exe so it cannot start. It is not in
msconfig/run. Keyboard, under Control Panel does not allow
to disable showing it in the systray. There is no
International icon in Control Panel.
Seamonkey=1.1.9
System is Win98SE.

ISTR reading somewhere that the EN icon (or whatever) appears if you have
two or more of something - either language or keyboard, i can't remember -
loaded, even if you only ever use one of them; you have to delete all but
one. I _thought_ it was under keyboard.

(Also try clicking, right-clicking, etc. the EN "icon" itself; you never
know what you'll find.)

Check your settings in Start | Settings | Control Panel | Keyboard |
Language.

Thanks, but CPL|Keyboard is of no help. Cannot defeat the
icon. Clicking on the systray icon opens the same Keyboard
window as cpl.

Right. Did that first. Icon option grayed out. Only keyboard
showing is ENG US 101.
I'll keep looking. Thanks.

Re: Removing/stopping "Internat.exe"/Keyboard Language from running.

Uninstall the IME.

Sound's good.
How do I do that? If not in add/remove, then where? Is there
a file name? Editing in the registry?
I appreciate the help.

It should be in Add/Remove Programs, as Microsoft Global IME, or Global IME, or
Microsoft IME, or Microsoft Global Input Method Editor, or similar....have you
looked there?

Dr. Dos, have you made sure you have everyone showing and nothing hidden
within Windows?
