RE: Windows Updatev5 - Error number: 0x800A01AD

This is Venkata. I have a Laptop which has Windows XP Media Center SP2. I am
getting the following error while updating windows using windows update.
Here is tha last 20-30 lines of Windows update log.

I have followed all the steps you mentioned in the thread. I registered the
dlls mentioned in the thread. I tried to restart "Automatic Updates" service.
Then I am getting an error message with error code: 0x8007277a.
I have turned off Windows firewall and also disabled the eTrust anti virus.
I have no NOD32 anti virus installed on my machine.
Please let me know the solution. i have been blocked by this problem for the
past one week. I can not install .net framework 3.0 and 3.5 because of this
issue.
