If I add a USB 3G modem to the terminal server machine would the modem
automatically be made available to a remote desktop connection?

If not how do I set this up please?

Re: Using a USB 3G modem

I have a windows application that sends & receives sms messages. The app
runs okay directly on the server but I am trying to allow a user to access
the modem via terminal services. The link looks like it is only available
for specific purposes.

Cheers

Re: Using a USB 3G modem

Do you mean that you want the user to rdp to the Terminal Server,
start the application and through the application connect to the
modem? Or does the user need to access the modem outside of the
application? Can you connect to it in HyperTerminal?
