Hello everyone,

I currently am load balancing two windows server 2003 enterprise edition
terminal server using DNS round robin. I notice that one of my servers tends
to have more traffic. Probably becuase it's the original TS and people are
still using their old RDP shortcut. We are a small company so free is ideal,
but is there a better way or any other suggestions to help even this out?
Thanks in adance for your expertise.

Thank you,
Chris

You can use WLB:

243523 - Using Terminal Server with Windows Load Balancing Service
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=243523

Since your servers are running Enterprise Edition, you can also use
Session Directory:

301926 - Overview of the Session Directory Technology in Terminal
Services
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=301926

Session Directory and Load Balancing Using Terminal Server White
Paper
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/techinfo/overview/sessio
ndirectory.mspx

Well, i made a mistake, one of my servers is running 2003 standard. Am I able
to upgrade/crossgrade to enterprise?

Re: Load Balancing two Terminal Servers

I'm not sure, I believe that you would need to install the server
from scratch.
But you can use WLB with any version of the OS.
