Can I virtualize my TS Gateway server?

I'm wondering if "security-wise" it would okay to create my TS Gateway
server as a virtual server under Hyper-V, along with all of my other
VMs? I could give it its own dedicated NIC if that would help matters,
as the host server has 6 NICs. Our Checkpoint FW should handle all the
filtering necessary...

Thanks,

Mike

As long as it's in the DMZ, I don't see why it would make any real
difference if it was physical or virtual.

Thanks Jeff, that's what I was thinking. I looked around a bit
yesterday, but couldn't find any mention of anyone running it as a VM,
so I didn't know if that fell outside of the realm of a best practice.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Can I virtualize my TS Gateway server?

Ah but did you find anyone that says you shouldn't run it as a VM? Just a
different way of looking at the issue. :)

I wouldn't sweat it. Everything is going virtual nowadays.

Re: Can I virtualize my TS Gateway server?

Lol... I try to follow suggested best practices for things like this,
so I didn't want to assume it was okay to do so without finding
supporting info first.
