Hi,

I have a Windows 2000 server that I want to upgrade the hard disk from
IDE to SATA. I used ghost to transfer the content from the IDE disk to
the SATA. The server is bootable after the ghosting (on the SATA drive).
However, as soon as I upgraded the basic disk to dynamic disk, it said
any OS that is previous installed on this disk will not be bootable. Of
course, the disk was not boot able after the upgrade. I have done this
before but I don't know why it didn't work this time. Do anyone has
suggestion on this?

Thanks

I would try the recovery console and the fixboot command. But I am not
100% sure if that is available in 2000.
