I have a user who is having problems coping files from her remote session
desktop to her laptop's desktop. I checked the Local resource settings and
"disk drives" is selected. When she tries to copy and paste she gets this
message: "Item not collected: Format not supported by Office Clipboard" and
I haven't been able to figure out what the problem is. This happens with word
docs, excel, jpg, pdf and other common file types.

Suggestions?

If she opens the file on the remote desktop and copies the contents (say the
excel spreadsheet), can she then paste that into an excel file open on her
local desktop? That works for me.

See my post about printing for some additional thoughts.

Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. And some things just aren’t
copyable without copying the actual file, like movies and images.

If you need to transfer complete files, you have to enable drive
redirection and copy the files in explorer.

As for why the clipboard copying of file *content* sometimes
doesn't work, here's an explanation:

Why does my shared clipboard not work?
