Hi
We have been running a Win 2000 Server as a file server through an ADSL
Gateway. We have set up single port forwarding on the Gateway, and it runs
as a PC Anywhere host absolutely OK. The Server is part of a workgroup (we
have no need of a domain in a small office).
We have now set up a Win 2003 Server which will ultimately replace the Win
2000 Server. The Server is loaded with CA internet Security Suite. However,
no matter what we do, we cannot get either Remote Desktop or PC Anywhere to
run on it. We have disabled the CA Internet Security Suite firewall and have
set up port forwarding to the remote Win XP Pro PC, but without success.
Is there something in Win 2003 that is preventing us connecting? If you can
please point us in the right direction of what to look at and change in 2003
security that will allow this to happen, we would be very grateful.
We have followed all the instructions we can find but to no avail.
Regards
