I have Virtual Server 2005 installed on Windows 2003 Server R2 and it has
been running fine for abut two weeks. I am running a web server within the
virtual server enviroment. Today the web site was not working and I found
that the Virtual Server service was not running. When ever I try to start the
service it logs this error in the event log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Virtual Server
Event Category: Virtual Server
Event ID: 1066
Date: 8/9/2007
Time: 1:58:01 PM
User: NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE
Computer: [ServerName]
Description:
Virtual Server encountered an unexpected error, 0x00000003.

I cannot find a KB article describing this problem. Nothing new has been
installed on the host or virtual OS since Virtual Server was first installed.

Does anyone know how to correct this error?

Re: Virtual Server 2005 R2

Hi Steve,

Have you tried SP1 for Virtual Server 2005 R2?
You may want to ask the people over at the microsoft.public.virtualserver
group if they have any ideas.
