My USB 2.0 drive was working fine. Now it states that it would work faster if
plugged into USB 2 high speed port. I dont have a USB 1 port. Prior to this
it worked well. It seems that when I try to open a winRAR file now, it takes
forevere. i did try to roll back to when it was working but no help. Are
there any fixes for this problem. The external drive now transfers at low
speed. I have all the lastest updates for XP except SP3. Device manager
states drivers and devices are fine. Help?

RE: USB problem

Had it happen occasionally to me. I just unplugged the device, rebooted and
then plugged the device back in. May or may not work in your case.

Otherwise you may wish to post to the Hardware Newsgroup for WinXP.
