TS 2008 Printing Question

We are looking at upgrading our TS environment from 2003 x32-bit to 2008
x64-bit. The question I have is;
how should I install the printers that our TS users need to use? In our
current 2K3 environment, our users can simply search AD for the printer they
want to print to. I understand our current scenario is possible since the
print server is also 2K3. None of our users use locally attached printers
therefore printer redirection is out of the question. Do I need to setup each
printer locally on the 2008 x64-bit server or is there a method of installing
the 2008 drivers on our current print server and have our users continue
adding their printers thru AD?

One of the biggest pain pointsin Terminal Services is print drivers. They
cause the majority of issues that crop with terminal services.

x64 server requires 64-bit drivers including print. So you will need to
either install every print driver on the new terminal server (really bad
idea unless you thoroughly test each and every single one), buy and use a
3rd party universal print driver (best choice really), or setup a whole
other set of print servers specifically serving 64-bit servers.

My choice is the UPD and then you never have to worry about print drivers
again. well, almost never, very rare cases still crop up. You servers will
be stable which will cut down on you having to support them.
