Hello,
I have several Windows 2003 Enterprise servers. On one of the servers IE 6
is acting oddly. I can open a home page on it (internal or external), but
getting beyond that the issue. If I type a new URL in the URL field, the old
URL remains, and the browser just seems to sit there, but the process is
taking up resources. If I close the IE 6 window, another will appear with
the site I had newly typed.
DNS is fine, no issues with viruses, adware/malware. I think IE6 is somehow
corrup and I'd like to just do a re-install. Is it possible to
uninstall/re-install IE6 on a server? I cannot use IE7, as this is a
terminal server and IE7 is not supported yet for a few of our web apps.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
