1) I have noticed that my WHS2008 hard drives are CONSTANTLY spinning, even
when not being accessed by any of my workstations. I have made sure that no
backups were in progress. The problem does not resolve when I reboot.

2) I continually have problems with the Windows Search service. Error Log
says that it needs to be deleted and re-indexed. How do I do this?

3) It runs miserably slow with an AMD 64x2 5000+ and 2GB of Dual Channel
PC3200. What gives?

4) My network health is in a constant state of YELLOW as it is complaining
that there are files conflicts in the Windows Fonts folder. How do I remove
this warning or fix this conflict?

5) It is complaining that a connector problem exists with an existing
Windows Vista 64 machine but when I run the new connector, it does not
install. This same machine cannot be backed up due to "Chkdsk" problems but
running CHKDSK on the drives in that machine yields no resolution.

Has MS created yet another DUD of an O/S??

Re: WHS2008 PROBLEMS

Hello DevlshOne,

Windows home server is it's own beast, that's the reason for the forum that
i pointed to you.

If you have real problems with Windows Home server go there. Windows Home
server is only based on a "normal" windows server. Internally it has different
functions and options for configuration. So if you post there you will get
real answers from real people with the knowledge of WINDOWS HOME SERVER.

Best regards
