I am running a Windows 2003 server standard edition. Each time i boot when
explorer loads it causes a fault and is restarted, this is in a loop, have
started in safe mode and ran virus, spyware, trojan software and nothing
found, have copied in explorer.exe from cd still the same, have ran chkdsk /F
option have also ran the scf /scannow option, still the same.
All is ok in safe mode as no drivers etc are loaded, was not present when
the error first occurred but was drafted in a few days later, have been told
that nothing was done to cause the error, they first noticed something wrong
when they could no longer log into the server........I believed
them.....anyway any insight or assistance would be greatly appreciated as I
dont want to have to reinstall everything......

Thanks in advance

Kieron........

Re: Explorer.exe keeps restarting

Try a diagnostic startup where all non-microsoft services are disabled and
all third party startups are disabled.

Start|Run|msconfig
