I am trying not to get so mad at this OS that I rip it off of my PC, but
these types of deals are driving me nuts.
I am in a database class and had a Access database file emailed to me (it
was zipped). When I try to extract it on my laptop with Vista, I get the
"Windows found that this file is potential harmful" error and can go no
further. There is nothing wrong with this file. This is not the first time
this has happened. How do I stop the error. I need to use the file. lol
It works on my other XP PCs so I know that the file is good.

have you googled for a solution? it seems that a related issue for some
is solved by adding registry entries to make certain files "low risk".
I don't know much about the issue but your question peaked my interest
so i did a bit of research. give google a whirl.
Re: Windows found that this file is potential harmful
In Windows Mail go to Tools > Options. On the Security tab, choose
"Internet Zone" as the Internet Explorer security zone to use. Un-check "Do
not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a
virus." Click on Apply, then OK.
