could not connect to the internet

Hi,
Our machine which is running windows server 2003 working fine working fine
and able to connect to the internet. I tried to download sp2 to the server.
It is in the middle of the installation and stop. I tried to install it
again. but now the internet connection failed. I tried everything but could
not connect to the internet. I really would like to know what the problem is
and how to fix this. Thank you very much for any help.

Can you ping your default gateway and get replies?
What did you try?
What errors/event log issues do you see?
Can you uninstall SP2?
Was your server up to date on patches before then (including SP1) or was it
a vanilla setup?
