Hi,

We have to make decision what edition of MS Windows Server to choose as on
OS for our web server. According to the features description for a particular
edition, I think the web edition could be just fine.

Under what circumstances we could find ouerselfs in a position that we need
to replace the Windows Web Server 2008 by the Windows Server 2008 Standard
edition?

Thanks,
Lubomir

If you need to install / run stuff on the box that is not supported by the
web version, such as SQL, whatnot. There should be a comparison table
somewhere on the MS website so you can look at the features/restrictions on
both.
