Hello,
...Or atleast it stopped working after the hotfix was installed.
I installed MS update KB951748 on a laptop running XP SP2. After the
install the laptop has been unable to obtain IP via DHCP. With manual IP
config network works normally. I googled that this update has caused issues
with Zone Alarm products and also found some references to issues with Kerio
Personal Firewall. The laptop in my case was runnung Kerio. Below are the
remedies tried. No success.
-Uninstalled Kerio Personal Firewall
-Uninstalled Symantec End Point Protection
-Checked that XP's firewall is disabled.
-Uninstall/reinstall network adapter.
-Re-install&Update driver from Dell and from Broadcomm.
-Removed/re-joined computer from/to domain.
-Renamed computer.
-Deleted Winsock from registry
-Re-installed TCP/IP protocol
-Re-installed XP over the old installation. (Repair install)
-Installed XP SP3
None of which worked. The laptop is still unable to obtain IP from DHCP
server! Have anyone else here experienced similar problems?? I havent tried
to remove the hotfix yet. This hotfix was installed to +40 XP PC's withOUT
Kerio and no problems. Any Kerio users here??
All help is highly appreciated.
Thanks
