This is sort of a generic question.
The OS is XP Pro with SP3.
We have two user accounts setup.

Some features, applications etc. are separate on one account compare to the
other.

As a simple example each of us has different desk tops and we use different
operating systems.
But when I decided that my desk top was too cluttered and deleted a bunch of
short cuts that were rarely being used, I got a comment from the other
account holder that the short cuts had been removed from her desk top.

While this is a non problem, it does raise a question.

Where can I find a list of those features etc. that are common to all users
and which ones are individually owned?

There will not be a list, per se. The reason the icons were deleted was
because they were put (by the programs themselves during installation) into
the All Users>Desktop directory. Go to %systemdrive%\Documents and
Settings\All Users\various directories and look at what's in there. You can
move things from the All Users Desktop and Start Menu into specific users'
directories if you like. The entries are just shortcuts after all.
