Local USB peripherals within TS session?

Hi,

Is there any way to have a locally attached (USB) device, for example a
scale, appear within a terminal server session? Or are we still restricted
to local printers and drives only? We are connecting XP clients to a 2003
terminal server.

Thanks

RE: Local USB peripherals within TS session?

Typically RDP Supports only Printer Redirection over USB, so you'd likely
need to add a USB over IP product to your Terminal Server.

Patrick have you tried this tool with sucess? We gave it a try but we were
not able to see the a local USB Camera drive as a drive letter in the RDP
session .

RE: Local USB peripherals within TS session?

Yes, I have tested it with several devices. I haven't tested using USB
storage, as this is natively connected via RDP, but not to a drive letter.
I'll test this next. You might want to contact IncentivesPro as they might
be able to help you.

Is a drive letter a requirement? What do you mean by Camera Drive, i.e. the
storage card in your camera, when you connect the camera via USB?
