Hello!
I have several HP T5530 thin clients, running Windows CE 5.0 which came
preloaded with Thin Print.
After reading documentation from HP I have attempted to configure the Thin
Print service on the thin client to enable printing for applications running
on a Windows 2003 server, via a RDP connection to the server.
In the ThinPrint options I have manually added the TCP/IP details of the
printer and it accepted them with no issues. However, when I am in the RDP
connection and select print, no printers are listed. Is my server missing
some software to pick up the ThinPrint settings on the thin client? I have
also made sure that the RDP connection is set to use local resources
including printers.
Also if I try to print locally on the thin client (for exmaple, an IE7 page
on the desktop of the thin client) I select print and a dialogue box for
JetCet Professional printing appears instead of ThinPrint options. Is there a
way to set ThinPrint as the default print service on the thin client?
Or is there any other way I can configure this?
