2008 Terminal Server

I dont see where I can download TS Pilot.. I saw it on the demo
distributed by technet nor can i find anything about on google.

We have an existing terminal server windows nt, we also have citrix -
metaframe xp - we want run like cognos, costpoint, other web app via
2008 terminal server since most gov sites wont allow other vpns run
nor other softwares to be installed on there system.

Would 2008 terminal server TS Web help resoleve this issue or are we
better of with citrix type companies?

TS Gateway and TS Web actu similarly to CSG and WI in Citrix (i'm assuming
you're familiar with thhose since you have citrix). in fact, if you already
ahve Citrix you can do this functionality now. but yes, users can come in
over 443 and access the internal systems without exposing the internal
systems to the internet.

TS is not something that you can download, it comes with the OS.
So you'll have to install Windows 2008 on a server and then enable
the Terminal Server role.

Hi - yea i know that. But on the technet videos they TS Pilot - which
had alot other options to configure via web.

I have set up the TS see calculator via the web but when I click on it
- it doesnt connect

I'm guessing it's because TSWeb is using internal addresses vs what you
need, an external address to each and ever terminal server.

Finally got the calculator to work from the TS Web
=I had to enable the ts gateway and created the TS_CAP and TS_RAP
policy.

I was also able to use a test account to access the calculator but
terminal server creatss a user profile. I dont want user profiles
reated the terminal server? Anyway to do that?

That's basic windows architecture. Every user needs a profile, no if's,
and's or but's.
